Training For Level III Families

Utah’s Department of Child & Family Services (DCFS) has the responsibility to identify homes where they might place children with specific behavioral challenges. Currently licensed foster/adoptive families wishing to work with these children will need a referral from their child’s caseworker or their resource family consultant (RFC) to be eligible.

Healing Trauma Series

National Child Traumatic Stress Network’s Healing Trauma series is a twelve-hour course designed to supplement pre-service classes and focuses on understanding trauma and its effects, relationship building, self-care, advocacy and other applicable topics. This is a regular training series hosted throughout the state and taught by Utah Foster Care’s team of trainers.
