Introducing Utah Foster Care’s new CEO

As Utah Foster Care enters our 25th year of operation, I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new CEO of Utah Foster Care. With immense dedication to improving the lives of children and families in need, I feel honored to have the opportunity to lead this remarkable organization and collaborate with Utah’s foster families, volunteers, donors, and the community to make a genuine difference.

With almost 30 years of experience in child welfare, my journey has encompassed various roles, including 4 years as a foster care caseworker with the Division of Child and Family Services, followed by 24 years with Utah Foster Care. I joined Utah Foster Care when they opened their doors in 1999 and began by actively seeking out families willing to become foster parents. Over time, I transitioned into the role of Director of Foster Family Retention and remained there for two decades building programs and a supportive community for Utah’s foster families and the children they care for.

Throughout this time, I had the privilege of building relationships with many foster families, witnessing firsthand the power of acceptance and dedication in helping children and families heal. As connections with community members and businesses deepened, my responsibilities expanded to include fundraising efforts as well.

Nikki Mackay, CEO - Utah Foster Care

Having dedicated my career to improving the lives of children and families in need, I wholeheartedly believe that every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and loving home. I have come to know that this is not possible without all of YOU. May we continue to build a community of support for foster families and further the impact in the lives of the children we serve.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Nikki Mackay
