Foster parents are often asked, “What’s it really like?” One foster dad put it this way:
- “Everyone has someone to love. And foster care is an example of that. It’s accepting that every detail of life is not perfect.”
- “It’s remembering that there are no bad kids. Just impressionable, conflicted little people, wrestling with emotions and impulses.”
- “Just trying to communicate their feelings and needs the only way they know how. And I think that’s pretty perfect. A perfect reason to love them through it all.”
Every year, around 500 people graduate from Utah Foster Care foster parenting classes. This year, the Covid-19 pandemic has made it necessary to move all our appointments and trainings online.
It’s a great opportunity for you to take the classes from the comfort of your home!
The best way to get your questions answered is to talk directly to one of our foster-adoptive consultants. We have offices around the state of Utah, so you’ll be talking to someone who knows and lives in your unique community.
