I AM their Real Mom!

It’s common question for foster families in Utah.

Well-meaning people stop a foster mom at a grocery store with a bunch of kids, tagging along behind her.

They ask, “Are you their REAL mom?”

One of our foster parents found a blog with a great response to that question. Here’s an excerpt:

I am proud to be the one my children call “Mom,” the one who was entrusted to raise them, the one who refuses to let another person’s uncertainty or curiosity impress upon me that I am anything less than a full-fledged mother.
