The state of Utah is fortunate to have some of the most dedicated and talented teachers who are doing an amazing job in educating our children. Teachers are the backbone of our communities and deserve unwavering support.
Sadly, Utah has a high number of teachers leaving within their first five years of teaching. The primary reasons for leaving include emotional exhaustion (burnout) and job-specific stressors. This is why it’s crucial that we take better care of our teachers, who play a vital role in our communities.
Utah Foster Care shared a booth with The Parent Center at the most recent Show Up for Teachers Event in Salt Lake City. They shared valuable information about TBRI training for teachers and handed out several copies of the book, What Happened to You. Utah Foster Care also handed out purple sunglasses as a reminder for teachers to look at the children they teach through a trauma lens. Behaviors will tell you more than any word ever will.
It was an honor to be a part of such a fabulous event giving back to the very ones who love and educate our children here in Utah. Thanks to the Show Up Team for another amazing event!
