When you stage a huge event like the Chalk Art Festival, dependable volunteers are essential! This year, employees at Molina Healthcare came through in a big way for us at Utah Foster Care. Some fifteen volunteers showed up to work hours in the sun at the two-day event in June (including Juan and Lucy Laderos, pictured on this page). Their tasks involved assisting chalk artists, filling balloons, and handing out information bags to the 20,000 festival-goers.
Molina supports its volunteer efforts through a corporate program, through which employees can be paid for their volunteer hours. We appreciate Molina’s sponsorship of both their volunteers and a cash donation to support our programs to benefit Utah children in foster care.
The volunteers were prompt, cheerful, hard working, and a credit to the Molina name. We hope to have them back again next year!
