Fostering Hope Gala
The third annual Utah Foster Care Gala was a party like no other! Utah Foster Care celebrates 25 years of serving vulnerable kids in the state of Utah this year. The Gala included a custom purple cocktail, silent disco, thousands of dollars’ worth of donated prizes to bid on, University of Utah mascot Swoop, and a beautiful tribute to what keeps the Utah Foster Care doors open and running.
The Fostering Hope award was given to Beehive Meals for their incredible partnership with Utah Foster Care. They have donated over 3,000 meals to foster families over the past 3 years. To say they are making a difference in the lives of our foster families would be an understatement.
Because of You
Siempre Events Center in Draper provided a beautiful space overlooking the entire Salt Lake Valley. Guests were able to enjoy the inviting space inside and the perfect fall weather and view outside. Artisan Bloom Design outdid themselves once again decking the space out to the nines with floral arrangements made for a king. Clementine Photo Booths snapped photos on the purple carpet and provided the most entertaining slow motion camera experience during the silent disco. Magleby’s served up a delicious 3-course meal for all 240 guests. The program portion ended with a balloon drop, courtesy of Locally Twisted, celebrating all the money raised for foster families and the kids they are caring for. The party then moved downstairs for a silent disco. DJ Ryan Redfoot created an amazing vibe for guests to dance to 3 different stations. There is something about having headphones on that enables people to get out on the dance floor and have a great time.
We cannot thank all those who attended enough. All the money raised will go directly to supporting foster families and the children they are caring for. Without these donations, Utah Foster Care programs cannot be run effectively.
We appreciate the many businesses and community members who offered discounts and donated services to make this evening a success. Your contributions and willingness to give back are what make the state of Utah an amazing place to live. Children entering the foster care system will have more opportunities to thrive while their parents heal because of your generosity.
