Foster Family Shortage in St. George

By January 9, 2020General

St. George Mayor Jon Pike and Utah Foster Care (UFC) are asking St. George area families to become foster parents to local children who have been abused or neglected. Right now, southern Utah is experiencing a shortage of families available to care for children of all ages.

“The growth we’re experiencing in St. George is also affecting community needs, such as the needs of children in foster care,” says Mayor Pike. “I am encouraging our citizens to consider helping our children in our community by becoming foster parents.”

UFC invites the public to a free Foster Dinner on Wednesday, January 15th at 6:00pm at Washington County School District offices, 121 West Tabernacle Street in St. George. Dinner will be served and RSVP is requested – RSVP to ben.ashcraft@utahfostercare.org.
