Utah Foster Care’s annual Foster Family Camp receives a boost in donations! Thanks to a generous gift from Larry H. Miller Chevrolet, a group of deserving foster families will go to camp together this September.

The annual camp at Aspen Grove is an opportunity for foster/adoptive families throughout Utah to relax and enjoy being a family. The whole family gets to go on a mini-vacation – – the children in foster care, the adopted children, the biological children, and the parents. For many families, it’s their only real getaway all year!

Last year one of the foster moms wrote this note: “Thank you, Utah Foster Care, for an amazing retreat to Aspen Grove. We made new friends who understand what we are going through and vice versa. We made lifetime memories.”

“My bio kids kept telling our foster/adoptive daughter, ‘Thanks K—-, we wouldn’t be here without you!’

The adorable 4 year old voice replied, ‘You’re welcome.’  Love my little family!”

Adults share experiences, support each other, and celebrate the important work they are doing. The children find peace and joy in meeting others ‘just like me’.

Utah Foster Care serves more than 400 people at camp every September. If you’d like to donate to Foster Family Camp or find details about other ways to help, go to https://utahfostercare.org/give/.
