Fostering Hope-Each Ticket Purchase is a Donation to Utah Foster Care

Children come into foster care with trauma from the abuse and neglect they’ve experienced. In Utah, more than 2,100 children are in foster care at any given time because their own families are in crisis. At Utah Foster Care, we find, train, and support foster families who provide love and safety for these children. Donor funded programs promote healing and connection and ensure Utah children don’t face the future alone.

Foster Facts

In Utah…

  • 2100+ children are currently in foster care.
  • Parental Substance Use Disorder is a factor majority of the time.
  • There are a growing number of LGBTQ+ youth entering care.

Utah Children in Foster Care…

  • Most are in foster care for about thirteen months.
  • More than two-thirds return to live with their parents or a relative.
  • Teens make up nearly half of children in care.
  • Seven out of ten have siblings.
  • One in four are Latino.

The children in our homes have navigated the unimaginable. It is our hope that they can build lasting and healing connections. Many of these valuable relationships come from others who have also been through foster care. The time we have with other foster families and children in foster care is priceless.

Donor Advised Fund

An Effective Way to Give

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a centralized charitable account. It allows charitably inclined individuals, families, and businesses to make tax-deductible charitable donations of cash, publicly-traded stock, and, in some cases, certain illiquid assets, to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program.

Utah needs more foster parents.

There’s an urgent need for more safe and loving homes for kids in foster care. Consider becoming a foster parent.
