My husband Garrett and I have been married 12 years. He is a police officer and I teach art at an elementary school. We have two miracle boys, 10 & 8, and two adopted daughters, 9 & 7. We have had 10 long term placements from 0-16. The shortest being a month and the longest was 2 1/2 years or forever for our adopted kiddos. We began our foster care journey just before Covid hit, so we felt really alone the first few years and hope to help keep that lonliness from happening to other foster families. We both have a part of our hearts that belong to the most vulnerable of society. We have a lot of love to give to kids but have been cursed with infertility, so we opened our hearts and home to foster care.
