The look on Ben’s face at our Santa Brigade event last year was priceless! When he opened his gift, it was exactly what he wanted—Star Wars legos.
Unfortunately, many children in foster care ask Santa for one thing, and receive something completely different. Utah Foster Care’s Giving Tree program is committed to making sure that every child gets gifts that they have SPECIFICALLY asked for from Santa.
This means that they don’t ask Santa for a bike, and receive a random donated doll instead. Or ask Santa for a toy truck, and instead receive donated pajamas.
For 20 years, those of us at Utah Foster Care have gone the extra mile to fulfill the exact wishes of Utah children who are spending the holidays in foster homes. Each child gets three wishes, up to a certain dollar amount.
Will you help us ensure that no child is without by making a cash donation?
Giving can be as simple as making an online donation or dropping off gift cards at our Murray office (5296 South Commerce Drive, #400) during normal business hours. You can also give when you shop on Amazon by designating Utah Foster Care on the Amazon Smiles program. Your recurring donation will make it possible for kids to have access to special programs and wishes every day of the year.
Thank you for sharing your heart—and your strength—this season… and always.
