Utah’s Care Communities program surrounds foster families with local support through Care Teams made up of 8-10 individuals or families. This consistent connection improves outcomes for children in care and empowers foster families to continue fostering.
Together we can share the burdens and joys of providing better outcomes for Utah’s vulnerable children.
In partnership with Utah Foster Care, Utah First Lady Abby Cox’s Show Up initiative has established the Care Communities Pilot Program in Utah. Corporations, congregations, and social groups in Utah are already participating in the program.
Utah Foster Care finds, trains, and supports each Care Community, matching them with a foster family to serve for one year.
Individuals can help by donating supplies for Caregiver Kits that Care Team Members and volunteers use while spending time with kids in care.
