In-service Training

In order to remain licensed, foster parents need 12 hours of on-going education each year. We call this “in-service training” and it’s available from a variety of sources: Utah Foster Care (UFC) training staff, local Clusters, and from a handful of approved outside providers.

In addition to in-services classes you may take in-person, we also offer a growing library of live and recorded web-based classes, called “webinars“.

A listing of up-coming in-service trainings and webinars is available in the current FosterRoster (PDF), or as a standalone exerpt (PDF). Additionally, training opportunities are frequently announced in on Facebook.

Contact your Resource Family Consultant (RFC) to seek approval for training hours outside of those we offer.

Also, an in-service tracking sheet (among other helpful forms) is available for download.
