So Many Ways to Support Utah's Children

Utah Foster Care (UFC) relies on our amazing volunteers to support our work in serving Utah’s children.

There are many ways to support programs that help bring more foster/adoptive families to children. Our volunteers help organize appreciation events for foster families, help support the artists at The Chalk Art Festival, serve as volunteer committee chairpersons for the Chalk Art and Pumpkin Painting Festivals and help organize other special events, do office work, distribute information throughout their local community, coordinate donation drives, as well as many other opportunities.

If you, or your group, are interested in volunteering with the Utah Foster Care please contact us to get connected with a staff member in your community.

Friends of Foster Care

A group of community supporters who give their time, talents, and treasure to promote the UFC mission: We serve Utah’s children by finding, educating, and nurturing families to meet the needs of children in foster care.

The Friends of Foster Care enhance UFC’s public standing by helping to represent UFC in the media, fundraise for community outreach and specific program needs, and participate in selected UFC projects and programs. We are currently recruiting additional members for this group. Have FUN with amazing people all for a GREAT cause! Please contact us today to discuss our next project, or your next great idea to help achieve the mission.

What Can I do to help Utah Foster Care Foundation?

Hold a Friend Raiser!

One way to have fun and support the mission is to plan and hold a fundraiser with your family, your colleagues, your friends, or your neighborhood. There are so many creative ways that you can help. To discuss your next great idea call us today!

Holiday Programs

One of the busiest times of the year at the Utah Foster Care Foundation is the holiday season. Volunteers help organize gift drives, gather gifts from the community, sort gifts for children and deliver them to the foster families.

Donation Drives

This is a great way for groups of friends, youth groups, or Eagle Scouts to help. Donation drives for holiday gifts, back to school supplies and back packs, hygiene kits, and other items are enormously appreciated by families.

The Chalk Art Festival Volunteer

Professional and amateur artists transform the streets of The Gateway into a gallery of large chalk art murals. This event — held every June on Fathers Day weekend — helps increase the awareness of the need for foster/adoptive families for children in Utah.

The Pumpkin Painting Festival

Help kids paint and decorate pumpkins, while parents get information on becoming foster/adoptive parents.

Office Support

Each of our offices has an on-going need for help with the important, but less glamorous projects: stuffing envelopes or making photo copies (sometimes 5,000 at a time!) — which help us get the word out about the needs of children in foster care, while preserving precious funds.

Foster Parent Appreciation

Help us honor families who currently are making a difference in the lives of children in foster care. UFCF hosts annual picnics, swim parties, and other family activities.

Other Ways

Help us spread the word about the need for foster homes in your community by distributing posters, flyers and brochures
